Kellie Martin is the American actress and film director most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston on the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. She is also known for being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin began her acting career at the age of was just seven. She was a niece of her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's children helped her land an unimportant role in the television series Father Murphy. After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more than just a hobby. She landed significant roles on television as well as on the big screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is a skilled photographer as well as a ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus aged 19 led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
